WSQHYA Charities & Community Involvement
WSQHYA prides itself in supporting our local communities where we live and show our horses. We partner with local non profits to hold different community outreach events throughout the year.
We are honored to continue to partner with Unstoppable Kindness and the youth that execute this program. A quote from their lead Katherine Hagen of Deerfield Farms
“The primary purpose of Unstoppable Kindness is to inspire young people to make a difference in their communities, and to give them the tools to lead others in this pursuit.”
Seattle Ronald McDonald House Charities 2025
Our Washington State Quarter Horse Youth Association is proud to partner with Seattle Ronald McDonald House Charities to support families with seriously ill children. Through volunteering opportunities, our members engage in various activities, from blanket making, to organizing coin drives that bring comfort and joy to those staying at the House. This partnership allows our youth to develop a deeper sense of empathy and community, while directly contributing to the well-being of families who are facing difficult times. We believe in the power of giving back, and working alongside such a compassionate organization has been a rewarding and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
Unstoppable Kindness 2024
“We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Washington State Quarter Horse Youth Association for an amazing time at Trophy Circuit last weekend! Together, we assembled 100 sack lunches and raised over $600 for future projects. Thank you so much to everyone who participated and we are excited for our next event together!”
Unstoppable Kindness 2023
“We are excited to announce that our baby drive was incredibly successful – we almost quadrupled our original goal of 300 items! All together, we collected 571 clothing items, 30 pairs of shoes, 41 blankets and towels, 188 books, 20 games, 181 toys, 44 hygiene items, 5 lunchboxes, 4 car seats, and 46 miscellaneous infant essential items, for a grand total of 1130 items! Thank you so much to the Deerfield Farm community for working together to collect so many amazing items, as well as to Lisa Gardner and everyone who brought donations to Lope On In for all of your generous contributions. We know all of our collected items will make a big difference for children and families in need in Seattle, especially heading into the winter months. Thanks again for your support of Unstoppable Kindness, and we look forward to our next baby drive in the near future!”
