My name is Lily Richardson and I am 14 years old. I train with Paige Stroud in Monroe, WA.
My horse’s name is Dee (aka Chips Heart) and we have been showing together for over 4 years. I bought a new horse named Ella (aka A Classy Chex) while I was in Arizona at the Sun Circuit and can’t wait to begin showing her this year.
I got started in the horse world through my grandparents. They have a ranch in Wyoming and I would ride their horses when I was little. They started me riding when I was 3 years old and I’ve been showing and training with Paige for eight years.
My favorite class to show in is Trail because it is fun and the patterns can be a good challenge. I also enjoy Horsemanship, Equitation and Showmanship.
Most of my after school days are spent riding at the barn but I also run Cross Country and love science, art and choir in school. I’m interested in sports medicine (either equine or human) and physical therapy.
My idol is my mom because she supports me no matter what I want to do and helps me achieve my goals.
My goal this show season is to get to know Ella better and become a strong team. I also hope to go to the Youth World Show this summer. I’m excited to be an officer in the WSQHYA and as I get older take more leadership roles to help our youth club grow and reach more kids.
