Elsie Naruszewicz

Elsie Naruszewicz
My name is Elsie Naruszewicz. My trainer is Paige Stroud in Monroe. I am the 2017 WSQHYA President.

My horse’s name is Mister Youreadoll (a.k.a. Alf). I recently got him last year and I am excited to show him. I have been competing for almost six years, first of which was in 4-H. My favorite class to compete in is Trail. My last horse, Benny, was really good at it and I learned to really appreciate how difficult of a class it is. I love the different elements and trying to make them all flow perfectly.

If Alf could talk I think he would say, “Where’s the rest of my food?” All my horses seem to like food a lot more than work.

My goal for this show season is to go to the Youth World Show. I was planning on going last year before my horse retired. I think that going to the World Show is a good way to get college coaches to notice you as well as a good, fun experience!

I would say my idol is probably my trainer, Paige Stroud. She is always so patient, kind, and the most helpful person I know.

I don’t do a lot outside of the barn, mainly just focus on school and fundraising to go to the Youth Excellence Seminar hosted by AQHA. However I am trying to fix this, so I am going to join a 4-H group again and start doing more community service. My favorite subject in school is biology, seeing I want to have a career in this after college I think it's fitting.
