2016 Youth Bio - Emma Edwards

My name is Emma Edwards, and my horse's name is This Is Why I'm Here aka "Jack". Jack and I have been together since August 2015. My trainer is Nancy Renfro.

I have been riding since I was eight but didn't start showing quarter horses until I was thirteen. My favorite classes to compete in with Jack are Western Riding and Trail. I love western riding because it is fun and we love flying lead changes. Trail is good too because it challenges me to always be thinking ahead and it is something different that we do with our horses!

Outside of the barn, I really enjoy doing Younglife, a Christian based youth group. I also love hanging out with my friends, going swimming or being on the lake, and enjoying the outdoors by hiking or exploring.

In school my favorite subject is Marine Biology.

If Jack could talk he would probably say, "I love to hang out with my best friend Chuckie, and have some bromance time!"

One of my role models is Chris Holcutt. She has a great work ethic, PERFECT horsemanship, and the greatest sense of humor!!

My goal this show season is to go to my first Youth World Show and work hard and have fun. And I will be riding for TCU next fall!
