2016 Youth Bio - Chloe Conat

Chloe Conat

chloe conat

My name is Chloe Conat and my horses names are Charm (AKA She's Hot And Wins A Lot) and Gia (AKA Gonna Getcha Hot).

My trainer is Elizabeth Wagner in Sequim, WA. I have been showing for almost two years, but with my new horses for over six months.

I got started riding when my mom’s best friend got a horse named Ginger. She was a Morgan-Welsh mix. I would go to her place two to three times a week to take care of her.She turned out to be severely laminitic and she had to be put down. After that I still clung to horses and started to lease a mare named Mischief, she was my trainer’s horse.

My favorite classes to show in are Showmanship and Western Pleasure. These are the classes I started out in, I love them because they are about the horse and the rider and the teamwork between us.

Outside of the riding I like to hang out with my best friends and I love to run track and field. I love to read and my favorite subject in school is science. My other favorite hobbies are art, athletics and of course being at the barn.

If my horse could talk she would say, “I want more carrots and candy canes!” And, “Can we skip this lesson?”

My idol is Katie Johnston. She is also my best friend. She has two baby horses named Jackson and Waylon. She is a true inspiration. Her passion is horses no matter what it is from scooping poop or showing them.

At the state convention I was voted on as the 2016 WSQHYA Secretary/Treasurer and I am looking forward to meeting more youth and being a part of our great club. I hope everyone has a great show season!
