WSQHA Professional Horseman Bios

Denise Callahan2Denise Callahan Show Horses and her crew are located at beautiful Lucky 13 Ranch in Arlington, Washington. One of their mottos is “We make competition seriously fun” and that’s exactly what Denise has created, a fun and fulfilling training program.

Denise’s training program is built on a few key elements: confidence, communication, and safety. In order to establish effective communication, both the horse and rider must be confident within themselves. Once this has been achieved, they are able to truly connect and work towards their personal goals, all while having fun and staying safe.

Denise teaches that foundation and builds on it to take the horse and rider to whatever level is appropriate for their goals. Her clientele are a wide variety of ages, levels, and sport disciplines – some who choose to show, and some who do not. The goal is to see those smiles as they confidently enjoy their horse, and to see the horse’s expression show their pleasure as well. By focusing on communication between the horse and rider with individualized teaching strategies, Denise’s girls reach their goals, and have a blast doing it!

Denise specializes in the AQHA All Around events including:  Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, and Futurities.
